Clear Gallery — Privacy Policy

Clear Gallery puts pictures that are already in your Wix Media Manager onto your site. This page says exactly what it reads, what it keeps, and who else sees any of it.

The short version

We store nothing. There is no account, no database and no profile — not of you, and not of your visitors. The app has nothing to delete because it never kept anything.

And we never hold a copy of your pictures. The gallery stores the address of each picture in your own Wix Media Manager, and your visitors load them straight from Wix. That is the whole design of this app: if everything we run stopped today, the galleries on your pages would carry on working.

What the app holds

Your settings — which pictures, in which order, their captions and descriptions, and the look of the block — are saved by Wix, on your own site, as properties of the block on your page. They live in your site, not on our servers, and they go with your site if you move or delete it.

What a visitor's page does

Nothing of ours. A finished gallery already knows the addresses of its pictures, so a page with the block on it asks us for nothing at all. The pictures are fetched from Wix's own image service, exactly as any other picture on your site is.

No cookie is set. No identifier is created. Nothing is logged.

What our server does

One thing, in one place: when you open the gallery's settings panel in the Editor and press Choose pictures, the panel asks our server for a list of the pictures in your Media Manager, so it can show you thumbnails to pick from.

• It answers only a signed-in Wix user — your visitors have no way to ask it anything.
• It lists only files you have marked public in your own Media Manager. Private files are never requested and never returned.
• It returns file names and addresses to your own panel, and keeps none of them.

The app's server runs on Wix's own infrastructure, as part of the app.

What we do not collect

• No names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses
• No visitor identifiers, cookies or tracking of any kind
• No analytics
• No payment information — the app is free

Your pictures are as public as your page

A picture on a published page can be seen, saved and linked to by anyone who can open that page. That is true of every picture on every website, and it is true here. Put nothing in a gallery that you would not want a stranger to download.

Third parties

• Wix — hosts your site, stores your Media Manager, serves the pictures, and hosts this app

There is no one else. We sell nothing to anyone, and there is nothing to sell.

Children

The app is a tool for site owners and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data from anybody, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
